2 cupMilk
1/2 cupButter
3 Eggs
1/4 cupSugar
1 tspSalt
2 cupRaisins
1 Cake compressed yeast
4 cup=TO=
5 cupFlour
Procedures:
1Scald milk; cool to lukewarm and add remaining ingredients and mix well.
2Let rise until double in bulk.
3Drop into hot, deep fat by tablespoonful and fry until brown.
4Note: these raisin fritters were especially made for new year"s day.
5The name means tumbling over, since they turn over by themselves.
6Variation: hilda uses ?cup butter, 3 cups raisins and ?cup water with yeast.
