Ingredients:
1 cupAll-purpose flour
1 cupWhole-wheat flour
1 tbspBaking powder
1 1/4 tspGround cinnamon
1/4 tspGround cloves
1/4 tspGround nutmeg
1/4 tspSalt
1 eachLarge egg
1 cupSour cream
4 tbsp(?stick) unsalted butter
1 x-melted
1 tbspFrozen orange juice concentr
1 x-thawed
1 xGrated zest of 1 large orang
1/3 cupPacked light-brown sugar
1 tbspSugar
Procedures:
1Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
2Butter 12 muffin cups.
3Sift together the flours, baking powder, ?teaspoon of the cinnamon, the cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
4In a separate bowl, beat the egg with the sour cream, butter, and orange juice.
5Stir in the orange zest and brown sugar and mix well.
6Add the sour cream mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
7Fill the prepared muffin cups about three-fourths full.
8Combine the sugar with the remaining ?teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over the muffins.
9Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned and springy to the touch.
10Allow the muffins to stand for 5 minutes before turning them out onto a wire rack to cool.
11Serve warm.
