Ingredients:
1 lbsAlmonds (blanched)
-finely ground
1 lbsSugar, powdered
-(confectioner's sugar)
Food colouring
2 tbspOrange water or rose
-water (Can be obtained
-from your local
-drugstore)

Procedures:
1Combine ground almonds, sugar and flavouring in a saucepan.
2Cook until mixture leaves side of pan.
3Roll almond mixture on a flat surface to about ?inch thickness.
4Cut into shapes, mold, paint with food colouring, decorate, etc.
5Place on wax paper to dry for 2 hours.
6Notes: * marzipan -- this recipe could be used as part of a 12-course meal known in polish as wigilia, or on its own.
7Wigilia is eaten after sundown on christmas eve.
