Ingredients:
| 2
| quart | Whole milk | | 5
| x | Eggs | | 1 1/4
| cup | Sugar | | 3/4
| cup | Flour, plain | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla extract | | 2
| tbsp | Whiskey or Extract | | 2
| tbsp | Brandy or Extract | | 1
| tbsp | Nutmeg |

Procedures:
| 1 | Scald all but ?cup milk in top of a large double boiler. | | 2 | Separate eggs. | | 3 | In a large bowl, beat yokes well while adding 1 cup sugar and flour sifted together and ?cup cold milk. | | 4 | Add hot milk slowly to mixture, stirring well. | | 5 | Put back into double boiler and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. | | 6 | Remove from heat, add wiskey, brandy and vanilla. | | 7 | Place nutmeg on bottom of a large baking bowl. | | 8 | Beat egg whites while slowly adding 10 tablespoons sugar until foam peaks. | | 9 | Place on top of custard mix. | | 10 | Bake at 350f about 10 minutes or top turns golden brown. | | 11 | Chill before serving |
