Procedures:
| 1 | Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add egg yolk. | | 2 | Combine soda and whiskey; add to creamed mixture. | | 3 | Add flour, 1 cup at a time; mix and knead by hand, adding enough flour to make a soft dough. | | 4 | Shape as desired into crescents or oblong balls. | | 5 | Insert a whole clove in center of each cookie. | | 6 | Bake on ungreased cookie wheets at 350 °F for 20 to 25 minutes. | | 7 | Dust generously with powdered sugar while cookies are warm. |
