Biscota thipla me marmelada (sandwich cookie)

Ingredients:
3 cupFlour
3 tspBaking powder
4 ea Eggs, separated
1 cupSugar
1 tspVanilla
1/2 cupButter, melted
1 cupMilk
1/2 cupBlanched almonds
2 cupApricot marmalade
Procedures:
1Sift flour with baking pwdr.
2Into a bowl; make well in middle of it.
3In another bowl, beat egg yolks with sugar and vanilla, then pour into flour.
4Add melted butter.
5Knead mixture into soft dough, slowly adding the milk as you knead.
6Let dough rest for 10 min. separate dough into 4 parts and roll each out a quarter inch thick; cut into rounds, and place carefully on buttered cookie sheet.
7Beat egg whites lightly, brush over cookies; press ?an almond into center of each.
8Bake in preheated 300°F. oven for abt.
915 min. remove from oven and cool.
10Spoon some marmalade onto half the cookies and top them with the others.
11Serve immediately
