Ingredients:
| 3
| cup | Flour | | 3
| tsp | Baking powder | | | 4 ea Eggs, separated | | 1
| cup | Sugar | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1/2
| cup | Butter, melted | | 1
| cup | Milk | | 1/2
| cup | Blanched almonds | | 2
| cup | Apricot marmalade |

Procedures:
| 1 | Sift flour with baking pwdr. | | 2 | Into a bowl; make well in middle of it. | | 3 | In another bowl, beat egg yolks with sugar and vanilla, then pour into flour. | | 4 | Add melted butter. | | 5 | Knead mixture into soft dough, slowly adding the milk as you knead. | | 6 | Let dough rest for 10 min. separate dough into 4 parts and roll each out a quarter inch thick; cut into rounds, and place carefully on buttered cookie sheet. | | 7 | Beat egg whites lightly, brush over cookies; press ?an almond into center of each. | | 8 | Bake in preheated 300°F. oven for abt. | | 9 | 15 min. remove from oven and cool. | | 10 | Spoon some marmalade onto half the cookies and top them with the others. | | 11 | Serve immediately |
