Cake Flour

Baking Powder

Vegetable Shortening

Sugar

Procedures:

In a large bowl, sift together cake flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Mix well with a pastry blender, cut in shortening until the mixture is as fine as cornmeal.

Put in a large airtight container.

Label as basic cake mix and store in a cool dry place.

Use with 10 to 12 weeks.

Makes about 16 cups of mix
