Ingredients:
7 Large Egg Yolks
1 cupSugar
1 cupHeavy Cream
2 cupCold Milk
1 Vanilla Bean, split
6 ozChocolate chips
1/2 cupJack Daniel's Whiskey
Procedures:
1Combine egg yolks and sugar in small bowl until smooth and lemon colored.
2Place cream, milk and vanilla bean in small saucepan over medium heat and bring to boil.
3Immediately remove from heat and cool slightly.
4Remove vanilla bean and add a small amount of cream to the yolks, stirring briskly.
5Slowly add yolks to remianing cream, stirring constantly.
6Strain through cheesecloth or a fine sieve.
7Melt chocolate over hot water in the top half of a double boiler or in the microwave.
8Stir into cream mixture and strain once more.
9Stir in whiskey and chill.
10When well chilled, pour into an ice cream maker.
11Makes about 1 ?quarts
