Ingredients:
1/2 cupCocoa
1 tbspFlour, unbleached
1/4 cupDark brown sugar, packed
4 cupMilk
3 Cloves, whole
1 Cinnamon sticks, broken
2 tbspPowdered sugar
1 1/2 tspVanilla
Whipped cream
4 Cinnamon sticks
Procedures:
1Recipe by: jo anne merrill preparation time: 0:10 mix cocoa and flour in 2-quart saucepan.
2Stir in brown sugar, milk, cloves, and 1 stick cinnamon.
3Heat just to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly; reduce heat.
4Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes (do not boil).
5Remove from heat; remove cloves and cinnamon.
6Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla.
7Beat with wire whisk or hand mixer until foamy.
8Pour into 4 cups or mugs.
9Serve with whipped cream and cinnamon sticks
