Ingredients:
1/2 cupButter
3/4 cupGranulated sugar
1/4 cupBrown sugar
2 Egg
1/2 cupOrange juice
1/4 cupMolasses
1 tbspOrange peel
1/2 tbspVanilla
2 cupFlour
3 tbspBaking powder
1/2 tbspNutmeg
1/4 tbspSalt
1/4 tbspCinnamon
1 dashCloves
1 cupBlack walnuts
1/2 cupRaisins
3 tbspButter
1 1/4 cupConfectioners' sugar
2 tbspOrange juice
1 tbspVanilla
1 1/4 cupConfectioners' sugar
Orange juice
Procedures:
1Cream together, butter, sugar and brown sugar till fluffy.
2Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3Combine orange juice, molasses, orange peel and vanilla.
4Sift together flour, baking powder, nutmeg, salt, cinnamon and cloves.
5Add to creamed mixture, alternately with orange juice mixture, mixing after each addition.
6Stir in black walnuts and raisins.
7Pour into lightly greased and floured 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
8Bake in moderate oven (350) for 40 to 45 minutes, till done.
9Cool.
10Frosting: cream together 3 tbsp. butter, gradually add 1 ?c. sifted confectioners" sugar, blending well.
11Beat in 2 tbsp. otange juice and 1 tsp. vanilla.
12Gradually blend in an additional 1 ?c. sifted confectioners sugar.
13Add just enough orange juice to make the frosting of spreading consistency
