Pasta Ribbons with Bolognaise Sauce

Ingredients:
2 cupdrained canned Italian tomatoes, finely chopped
1 lbsbow-tie shaped pasta (or spirals/cones)
4 tspolive oil
1/2 cupchopped onions
1 tbspchopped garlic
1/4 cupchopped carrots
1/4 cupchopped celery
1/2 lbsground beef (or turkey)
2 tbspred wine (optional)
1/2 cupwater or chicken stock
Procedures:
1Cook pasta according to package directions. Set aside.
2In a sauce pan, saute chopped onions and garlic in olive oil until onion is translucent.
3Add carrots and celery and continue cooking for about 2 minutes.
4Add the ground beef and cook until the meat is done and crumbly.
5Add red wine (optional), water and chopped tomatoes and simmer until the sauce is thick (about 15 minutes).
6Season with salt and pepper.
7Arrange pasta on serving plates and top with Bolognaise sauce.
