Ingredients:
| 1/2
| cup | Wild rice | | 1 1/2
| cup | Water | | 1
| tsp | Soy sauce | | 1
| tsp | Worcestershire sauce | | 1
| tbsp | Ghee | | 1/2
| cup | Mushrooms, sliced | | 2
| tbsp | Green peppers, chopped | | 1
| small | Onion, chopped | | 1
| tsp | Basil | | 1
| tbsp | Parsley |

Procedures:
| 1 | Wash rice well in several changes of cold water. | | 2 | Strain & ensure that all dirt & stones have been removed. | | 3 | combine rice with water. | | 4 | Add the soy sauce & worcesterhire sauce. | | 5 | Bring to a boil, reduce heat. | | 6 | Cover and simmer for 70 minutes. | | 7 | meanwhile, using a skillet, heat the ghee until hot. | | 8 | Add mushrooms & onion & saute for 2 minutes. | | 9 | Add the green pepper & continue to saute for another 3 minutes, until the onion is softened. | | 10 | Toss in the basil & parsley. | | 11 | Stir & remove from heat. | | 12 | when the rice has softened & the water has almost been evaporated, stir in the saute mixture. | | 13 | Let simmer for another 5 minutes. | | 14 | Serve. | | 15 | adapted by mark satterly from a recipe |
