Ingredients:
1 lbsLean Ground Beef
1/2 cupOnion, Chopped, 1 Md
1 eachClove Garlic, Minced
4 ozMushroom Stems & Pieces, 1 Cn
16 ozStewed Tomatoes, 1 Cn
1 eachCelery Stalk, Sliced
1 eachCarrot, Lg, Sliced
1 cupLentils, Uncooked
3 cupWater
1/4 cupRed Wine, Optional
1 eachBay Leaf
2 tbspParsley, Snipped
1 tbspSalt
1 tbspBeef Bouillon, Instant
1/4 tbspPepper
Procedures:
1Cook and stir the meat, onion and the garlic in a dutch oven until the meat is brown.
2Drain off the excess fat.
3Stir in the undrained mushrooms, and the remaining ingredients.
4Heat to boiling then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are tender, about 40 minutes.
5Remove the bay leaf and serve
