Ingredients:

| cup | Flour | | 1 1/2
| cup | Chicken broth | | 1
| cup | Sour cream | | 1/8
| tsp | Nutmeg | | 1/8
| tsp | Pepper | | | Salt -- to taste | | 1/4
| cup | Dry sherry | | 1/2
| lbs | Broad egg noodles -- cooked | | | Drained | | 4 1/2
| cup | Cooked chicken -- cut up | | 1/2
| lbs | Mushrooms, sauteed -- | | | Sliced | | 1
| cup | Soft bread crumbs | | 1/2
| cup | Parmesan cheese -- fresh | | | Grated |

Procedures:
| 1 | Melt 4 tablespoons butter; stir in flour, and add broth and sour cream, stirring until thick. | | 2 | Add nutmeg, pepper and salt. | | 3 | Remove from heat and stir in sherry. | | 4 | Arrange noodles in 9x13 inch baking dish. | | 5 | Cover with chicken, mushrooms, and sauce. | | 6 | Melt remaining 4 tablespoons butter and mix with crumbs. | | 7 | Top casserole with crumbs and cheese. | | 8 | Bake in a preheated 350^ oven for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. | | 9 | May be made a day in advance, refrigerated, and baked when needed. | | 10 | recipe by : merrymeeting merry eating |
