Wild blueberry cookies

Ingredients:
2 cupFlour (reserve ?cup)
2 tspBaking powder
1/2 tspSalt
3/4 cupBlueberries, wild or frozen
1/2 cupShortening
1 cupSugar
1 1/2 tspLemon rind, grated
1 Egg
1/4 cupMilk (more if 2 c flour used
Procedures:
1Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
2Stir in blueberries.
3Do not thaw if using frozen berries.
4Cream shortening until soft, gradually beat in sugar then lemon rind and egg.
5Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating until smooth after each addition.
6(frozen blueberries could be folded in quickly at the end - the dough turns purple as they thaw).
7Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
8Bake at 375°F for 10-12 min or until lightly browned.
