Ingredients:

| cup | Soft butter | | 1 1/2
| cup | Packed brown sugar | | 1
| | Egg, beaten | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 1 1/2
| cup | Flour | | 1
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Rum flavoring | | 1
| cup | Finely chopped walnuts |

Procedures:
| 1 | Recipe by: riacmt@ubvmsb.cc.buffalo.edu | | 2 | Beat in egg and vanilla. | | 3 | Mix in flour, baking powder and flavoring. | | 4 | Add walnuts. | | 5 | Spread in greased 8" square cake pan. | | 6 | Bake at 350f for 35 minutes and cut into squares. | | 7 | Serve hot or cold, plain or with whipped cream or ice cream. | | 8 | Store in tin. |
