| 1 | In a large mixer bowl, beat butter 30 seconds. |
| 2 | Add sugar, beat till fluffy. |
| 3 | Add egg and vanilla; beat well. |
| 4 | Add flour, beating till well mixed. |
| 5 | Cover and chill 1 hour. |
| 6 | Shape 1 level tablespoon of dough around a candy to form a ball. |
| 7 | Place on ungreased cookie sheets. |
| 8 | Bake in 350 °F for 15 to 18 minutes till edges are golden. |
| 9 | Cool on wire rack. |
| 10 | Drizzle with icing: ?c sifted powdered sugar & 1/8 tsp vanilla & 1 ?tsp to 1 t milk. |
