| 1 | Place apricots in 2-quart saucepan; add enough water to cover. |
| 2 | Heat to boiling; reduce heat. |
| 3 | Simmer uncovered 10 minutes; drain. |
| 4 | Cool; chop and reserve. |
| 5 | heat oven to 350 °F. |
| 6 | Cut butter into sugar and 2 ?c. baking mix until crumbly. |
| 7 | Pat into ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 x 10 x 1 or so. |
| 8 | Bake 10 minutes. |
| 9 | beat brown sugar and eggs. |
| 10 | Stir in apricots, 2/3 c. baking mix, vanilla and nuts. |
| 11 | Spread over baked layer. |
| 12 | Bake 30 minutes longer. |
| 13 | Cool completely; cut into bars, about 2 x 1 inch. |
| 14 | Roll in powdered sugar (i dust it on top). |
| 15 | Makes 75 cookies. |
