Ingredients:
8 tbspButter, softened
1 cupSugar
1 Egg
1 Egg yolk
1 tspVanilla extract
1 2/3 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 tspBaking soda
1/2 tspSalt
1/2 tspNutmeg
1/2 cupChopped walnuts
1/2 cupRaisins
1 tbspCinnamon
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 375°F.
2Grease some cookie sheets.
3Combine the butter and ?cup of the sugar, and beat until thoroughly blended.
4Add the egg, egg yolk and vanilla, and beat until light and fluffy.
5Stir together the flour, baking soda, salt and nutmeg, and add to the first mixture, mixing until thoroughly blended.
6Stir in the walnuts and raisins.
7Roll pieces of dough between the palms of your hands into 1-inch balls.
8Combine the remaining ?cup sugar with the cinnamon.
9Roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
10Bake for 10-to-12 minutes.
11Remove from the sheets and cool on racks.
