Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupPACKED BROWN SUGAR
1/2 cupMARGARINE OR SHORTENING
1/2 cupSHORTENING
2 EGGS
2 tspVANILLA
3 cupALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
2 cupSALTED PEANUTS
1/2 tspBAKING SODA
1/4 tspSALT
Procedures:
1Heat oven to 375°F.
2Grease cookie sheet lightly.
3Mix brown sugar, margarine, shortening, eggs and vanilla.
4Stir in remaining ingredients.
5Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto cookie sheet.
6Flatten with greased bottom of glass dipped into sugar.
7Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown; cool.
8Makes about 6 dozen cookies; 85 calories per cookie.
9Note: if using self-rising flour, omit baking soda and salt.
