| 1 | For filling, in a saucepan bring water to boiling. |

| 10 | press one/half of the oatmeal mixture onto the bottom of a greased 9x9x2-inch baking pan. |
| 11 | Spread mincemeat filling onto oatmeal mixture. |
| 12 | Drop remaining mixture by teaspoonsfuls onto filling. |
| 13 | Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes or till light brown. |
| 14 | Cool in the pan on a wire rack. |
| 15 | If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
| 16 | Cut into diamonds or bars. |
| 17 | Makes 24 servings. |
