Ingredients:

| cup | Dark brown sugar | | 1
| large | Egg | | 2
| tbsp | Grated lemon rind | | 1 1/4
| cup | All-purpose white flour | | 1/4
| cup | Cornstarch | | 2
| tsp | Ground ginger | | 1
| tsp | Ground cinnamon | | 1
| tsp | Baking powder | | 1/2
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1/4
| tsp | Salt | | 1
| tbsp | Sugar, for sprinkling |

Procedures:
| 1 | Preheat oven to 350. | | 2 | Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper or nonstick spray. | | 3 | Cream oil, butter, sugar, egg, and lemon rind with a mixer. | | 4 | Sift together flour, starch, spices and leaveners. | | 5 | Stir the dry mix into the creamed mix. | | 6 | Roll out to 1/16" thick, sprinkle with sugar cut out shapes and place onto baking sheets. | | 7 | Bake 10 min and let cool 2 min before moving from sheet to wire racks to finish cooling.. |
