| 1 | Heat oven to 350°F. |
| 2 | Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan. |
| 3 | In saucepan, melt butter. |
| 4 | Add peanut butter; stir until peanut butter is melted. |
| 5 | Stir in sugar and vanilla. |
| 6 | Add eggs; beat well with spoon. |
| 7 | Add flour, baking powder and salt; beat well. |
| 8 | Remove 1-?cups batter; stir cocoa into this part. |
| 9 | Spread chocolate batter into prepared pan. |
| 10 | Spread remaining batter over top. |
| 11 | Bake 30 minutes or until brownies just begin to pull away from sides of pan. |
| 12 | Cool completely in pan on wire rack. |
| 13 | Cut into bars. |
| 14 | About 36 brownies. |
