| 1 | Note: this recipe is for a double batch. |
| 2 | These cookies are so good one batch is never enough so i always make a double batch. |
| 3 | * be sure to use regular margarine and not a spread. |
| 4 | ** any kind of apples can be used. |
| 5 | preheat oven to 350 degrees. |
| 6 | Spray cookie sheets with pam or baker"s secret or lightly grease. |
| 7 | Cream butter or margarine and sugars. |
| 8 | Add eggs, beating well after each addition. |
| 9 | Add vanilla. |
| 10 | Stir in baking soda, cinnamon, ground ginger and cloves. |
| 11 | Stir in apples, nuts and raisins (if desired). |
| 12 | Add the flour and mix well. |
| 13 | i start with 6 cups of flour and according to the humidity level that day, i add up to an additional cup of flour. |
| 14 | Drop by teaspoonful onto lightly greased cookie sheets. |
| 15 | Bake at 350 °F for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. |
