Raspberry-chocolate bars

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupAll-purpose flour*
3/4 cupSugar
3/4 cupMargarine or butter
-softened
1 packFrozen, (10 ozs)
Raspberries, thawed and
Undrained
1/4 cupOrange juice
1 tbspCornstarch
3/4 cupMiniature semisweet
Chocolate chips
*self-rising flour can be
-used in
This recipe, omit salt and
Baking soda.
Procedures:
1Recipe by: betty crocker"s cookbook heat oven to 350 degrees.
2Mix flour, sugar and margarine.
3Press in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches.
4Bake 15 minutes.
5Mix raspberries, orange juice and cornstarch in 1-quart saucepan.
6Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
7Boil and stir 1 minute.
8Cool 10 minutes.
9Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust.
10Spoon raspberry mixture over chocolate chips.
11Bake about 20 minutes or until raspberry mixture is set.
12Refrigerate until chocolate if firm.
13Drizzle with additional melted chocolate if desired.
14Cut into 2 x 1-inch bars.
