Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupFlour
1 cupBrown sugar, packed
1 tspSalt
2 cupQuick-cooking oatmeal
1 cupButter
1 1/2 cupSeedless raspberry jam, *
1/2 cupChopped pecans

2bar cookies are easy to prepare because they are spread in a pan and baked all at one time.

6preheat oven to 375?
7in a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt and oatmeal.
8Cut in all but two tablespoons butter.
9Press ?of flour mixture evenly into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
10Spread jam over batter in pan, then top with remaining flour mixture.
11Dot with two tablespoons butter and with chopped pecans.
12bake at 375?for 20-25 minutes.
13Let cool completely, then cut into rectangles.
14variation: use other types of jam, such as apricot.
