Ingredients:
| 3/4
| cup | Shortening | | 3/4
| cup | Granulated sugar | | 1/2
| cup | Honey | | 1
| | Egg | | 1/2
| tsp | Grated orange peel | | 1 1/4
| cup | All-purpose flour | | 1
| tsp | Baking soda | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 2
| cup | Oatmeal, quick cooking | | 1
| cup | Seedless raisins |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cream together shortening, sugar, honey, egg and peel. | | 2 | Stir in flour, soda, salt and oats; beat well. | | 3 | Add raisins. | | 4 | Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. | | 5 | Bake abouve oven center at 375 °F for 8 to 10 minutes or until evenly browned. | | 6 | Let stand on sheets 2 to 3 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool. | | 7 | Makes about 36 cookies. | | 8 | lorna brown, prodigy food & wine board |
