Ingredients:
1/2 lbsGround turkey or ground beef
1 Large onion, diced
4 cupRagu sauce with mushrooms or
2 16 oz cans low salt toma-
To sauce(4 cups)
1 cupWater
3 tbspChopped basil or
1 tspDry basil
1 lbsLasagna noodles uncooked
1 lbsPart-skim ricotta cheese
2 cupGrated mozzarella cheese
1 cupGrated parmesan cheese
Procedures:
1Brown turkey(or beef) in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2Drain; add onion.
3Cook over low heat until onion is soft.
4Stir in tomato sauce or ragu sauce, water & basil.
5Remove from heat.
6Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
7Spoon some tomato sauce(or ragu sauce) over the bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish.
8Cover with uncooked noodles.
9Spread a layer of ricotta cheese over the noodles along with mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese & sauce.
10Repeat, ending with tomato sauce(or ragu sauce).
11Sprinkle with mozzarella & parmesan.
12Bake, covered, for 45 minutes, & then uncovered for another 25 to 30 minutes until brown & bubbling. ~
