Pecan crispies

Ingredients:
1/2 cupButter, softened
1/2 cupShortening
2 cupBrown sugar, firmly packed
2 Eggs
2 1/2 cupAll purpose flour
1/2 tspSalt
1 cupPecans, chopped
Procedures:
1Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
2Add eggs, beating well.
3Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well.
4Stir in pecans.
5Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
6Bake at 350 °F for 12 to 15 minutes.
7Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks.
8Makes 5 dozen.
