Ingredients:

| cup | Crisco | | 1/2

| cup | Sugar | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 2
| | Eggs | | 1
| cup | Chopped pecans | | 2
| tbsp | Milk | | 1
| cup | Chopped dates | | 1
| tsp | Vanilla | | 2 1/2
| cup | Corn flakes, crushed |

Procedures:
| 1 | Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. | | 2 | Set aside. | | 3 | Cream shortening and sugar. | | 4 | Add eggs, milk, and vanilla. | | 5 | Mix well. | | 6 | Add chopped pecans and chopped dates. | | 7 | Drop by spoonsful in crushed corn flakes. | | 8 | Top with cherry. | | 9 | Bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes. |
