Buttery hazelnut tea cookies

Ingredients:
1 cupButter, at room temperature
1/4 cupSugar
1 Egg yolk
2 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 tspAllspice
1 Egg white, lightly beaten
1/2 cupRoasted & chopped hazelnuts
-(Oregon hazelnuts)
Procedures:
1Electric mixer:
2cream the butter and sugar together.
3Add the egg yolk, flour and allspice, and blend until well mixed.
4Pat the dough into a 10-½x10-? square on an ungreased cookie sheet.
5Brush with egg white and sprinkle with the roasted hazelnuts.
6Bake in a 275 oven for 1 hour, 20 minutes, or until the cookies are a light golden brown.
7Cut into approximately 1-? squares while still warm.

9process the butter, sugar and egg yolk for 15 seconds.
10Stir the flour and allspice together and add the dry ingredients to the workbowl.
11Pulse until the ingredients adhere.
12Pat the dough, prep and bake as instructed above.
