Procedures:

Cream shortening and sugar.

Add eggs.

Mix well.

Add flavoring.

Sift flour, measure, and sift with salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar.

Add to first mixture.

Add coconut.

Mix thoroughly.

Form into rolls 2 inches in diameter.

Chill overnight.
