Ingredients:
2 cupBrown sugar
1/2 cupShortening
2 Eggs, well beaten
1/2 tspBaking soda
1 tspSalt
1 tspVanilla
3 cupFlour
1 tspCream of tartar
1 cupCoconut
Procedures:
1Cream shortening and sugar.
2Add eggs.
3Mix well.
4Add flavoring.
5Sift flour, measure, and sift with salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
6Add to first mixture.
7Add coconut.
8Mix thoroughly.
9Form into rolls 2 inches in diameter.
10Chill overnight.
11Cut in thin slices.
12Place on slightly oiled baking sheet.
13Bake in hot oven (420°F) about 10 minutes.
