Blueberry picnic bars

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupQuick-cooking oats
1/2 cupAll-purpose flour
1/2 cupLight brown sugar, packed
1/4 tspBaking soda
1/8 tspSalt
3/4 Unsalted butter or m
-argarine -- melted
Filling:
1 1/2 cupBlueberries, rinsed &
-patted dry
3 tbspSugar
2 tspCornstarch
1 tspLemon juice
Procedures:
1Recipe by: woman"s day heat oven to 350.
2Line an 8-inch square baking pan with foil, letting ends extend above pan on 2 sides.
3In a large bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt.
4Add melted butter and stir with fork until evenly moistened (mixture will be crumbly).
5Reserve ?cup crumb mixture for topping.
6Press remaining mixture evenly and firmly over bottom of ungreased, foil-lined pan.
7Bake 12 minutes to set crust.
8Meanwhile preapare filling: in a small saucepan stir berries, sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice over medium heat until simmering.
9Simmer, stirring occasionally, until juices are no longer cloudy, about 2 minutes.
10Spoon over crust.
11Crumble reserved crumb mixture over top.
12Bake 30 minutes until top is well browned and filling is bubbly.
13Let cool completely in pan.
14Lift foil by ends onto a cutting board.
15Peel off foil; cut in 2- inch squares.
