| cup | Butter | | 3/4
| tbsp | Black pepper | | 4
| | Eggs, lightly beaten | | 1 1/2
| cup | Sugar | | 1 1/2
| tbsp | Vanilla | | 1/3
| cup | KAHLUA | | 2
| tbsp | Vodka | | 1 1/3
| cup | All-purpose flour | | 1/2
| tbsp | Salt | | 1/4
| tbsp | Baking powder | | 1
| cup | Chopped walnuts or toasted | | | -sliced almonds | | | Powdered sugar (opt) |

Procedures:
| 1 | Line bottom of 13x9" baking pan with waxed paper. | | 2 | Melt chocolate and butter with pepper in small saucepan over low heat. | | 3 | Remove from heat. | | 4 | Combine eggs, sugar and vanilla in large bowl; beat well. | | 5 | Stir in cooled chocolate mixture, kahlua and vodka. | | 6 | Combine flour, salt and baking powder; add to chocolate mixture and stir until blended. | | 7 | Add walnuts. | | 8 | Spread in prepared pan. | | 9 | Bake in 350°F. | | 10 | Oven just until toothpick inserted in conter comes out clean, about 25 minutes. | | 11 | Do not overbake. | | 12 | Cool in pan on wire rack. | | 13 | Cut into bars. | | 14 | Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired. | | 15 | Makes about 30 brownies. |
