Ingredients:
1/2 lbsButter
2 cupSugar
6 Eggs
4 tbspAnise seeds
1 tspVanilla
3 tbspBaking powder
2 cupBlanched almonds, chopped
Procedures:
1In a large bowl place the butter and sugar, and cream them together.
2One at a time add the eggs and beat them in. add the anise seeds and mix them in. add the vanilla and anisette and beat them in. in a mixing bowl place the flour and baking powder, and mix them together.
3Add the flour to butter mixture.
4Combine the ingredients together well.
5Add the almonds and stir them in well.
6form the dough into a flat loaf.
7Cover it and place it in the refrigerator overnight.
8preheat the oven to 375°F.
9Place the loaf on a cookie sheet and bake it for 20 minutes, or until it is firm.
10Remove the loaf and let it cool.
11Slice it diagonally into ? thick slices.
