Apricot cream cheese cookies

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cupMargarine
1 1/2 cupSugar
8 ozPhiladelphia cream cheese
2 Egg
2 tbspLemon juice
1 1/2 tspLemon zest
4 1/2 cupFlour
1 1/2 tspBaking powder
Apricot filling
Sugar, confectioners
APRICOT FILLING
11 ozApricots, dried
1/2 cupSugar
Procedures:
1Combine margarine, sugar and softened cream cheese mixing until well blended.
2Blend in eggs, lemon juice and rind.
3Add combined dry ingredients to cream cheese mixture and mix well and chill.
4Roll into medium size ball.
5Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
6Flaten slightly, indent center, put apricot filling in center.
7Bake 350 °F for 15 minutes.
8Cool slightly and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
9fillling: put 1 pkg.
10(11 oz).
11Apricots in saucepan and add water just cover.
12Add ?cup (or to taste) sugar and bring to boil.
13Cover and simmer 10 minutes or until apricots are soft and most of water is absorbed.
14Force through sieve or whirl in blender.
15Makes 2 cups.
