Ingredients:
1 cupButter Flavor Crisco
2 tbspMilk
1 tspAlmond Extract
1/2 cupSugar, Granulated
1 2/3 cupFlour, All Purpose
2/3 cupAlmonds, slivered, chopped
1/4 tspSalt
Confectioners Sugar
Procedures:
1Preparation time: 15 minutes bake time: 10 to 12 minutes
2Heat oven to 350°F.
3Cream butter flavor crisco, milk and almond extract in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
4Beat in granulated sugar.
5Combine flour, almonds and salt.
6Mix into creamed mixture.
7Shape dough into balls using one level measuring tablespoon for each.
8Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
9Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
10( cookies will not brown.
11Do not overbake.
12) remove to cooling rack.
13Roll slightly warm cookies in confectioners sugar.
14Roll in confectioners sugar again when cookies are completely cool.
15makes 3 dozen cookies.
