Polish cabbage bake

Ingredients:
1 Large cabbage-about 2 lbs -
-cored and coarsely chopped
1/2 cupRice
1 Medium onion, chopped
2 cupTomato sauce
2 Large eggs
2 tspSalt
1 1/2 tspThyme
1/2 tspPepper (or to taste)
1 1/2 lbsGround round (85%lean)
1/2 lbsGround pork
1/2 cupBeef broth
Procedures:
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook cabbage until just crisp tender, about 10 minutes.
3Drain well, rinsed under cold water, and drain again.
4In a small saucepan of boiling salted water, cook rice 5 minutes.
5Drain, rinse under cold water, and drain again.
6In a large bowl, combine onion, ?cup tomato sauce, eggs, salt, thyme, and pepper; mix with a fork.
7Add rice, ground round, and ground pork and blend well.
8In a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish, spread half of cabbage in an even layer.
9Cover with all of meat mixture.
10Spread remaining cabbage on top.
11Combine remaining 1-?cups tomato sauce and beef broth and pour over casserole.
12Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
13Bake 1 hour.
14Remove foil and bake 15 minutes longer.
