2 lbsLean round steak
1/4 cupFlour
2 tspSalt
2 tspPaprika
1/2 tspPepper
3 tbspVegetable oil
1 cupOnion, chopped
1/3 cupGreen pepper, chopped
1 can(16 ounces) tomatoes
1/2 cupRaw rice
1 cupCondensed beef broth
1 cupWater
Procedures:
1Directions: cut steak into 7 equal serving pieces.
2Mix flour, salt, paprika, and pepper, dredge meat in mixture.
3Heat oil in a large frying pan.
4Lightly brown onions and green peppers and remove from oil.
5Brown meat in remaining oil.
6Cover meat with onions and green peppers.
7Cut up tomatoes and add with their liquid to meat.
8Sprinkle rice into pan.; add broth and water.
9Mix thoroughly.
10Bring to a boil, turn heat down, and cover tightly.
11Simmer 1 ?hours or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
12To help cut down on cooking time i purchase the tenderized round steak.
13I also use minute rice.
