Ingredients:

| lbs | Italian sausage, mild | | | -cut into 1-inch slices | | 1
| | Onion, lg. -chopped | | 2
| | Apples, peeled and quartered | | 1
| can | Sauerkraut, 27oz, undrained | | 1
| cup | -water | | 1/2
| cup | Brown sugar, packed | | 2
| tsp | Caraway seed |

Procedures:
| 1 | In a skillet, cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is tender; drain. | | 2 | Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water, brown sugar and caraway seed. | | 3 | Transfer to a 2-?quart baking dish. | | 4 | Cover and bake at 350f for 1 hour. | | 5 | Garnish with snipped parsley if desired. |
