| lbs | Beef short ribs, 2 ? long | | 1/2
| cup | Soy sauce | | 1/4
| cup | Water | | 1
| tbsp | Sugar | | 1
| tbsp | Sesame seeds, toasted | | 1
| tsp | Tabasco sauce | | 1/2
| tsp | Garlic powder |

Procedures:
| 1 | Score meaty side of ribs, opposite bone, ?inch apart, ?inch deep, lengthwise and crosswise. | | 2 | Combine soy sauce, water, sugar, sesame seed, tabasco and garlic powder; stir until sugar dissolves. | | 3 | Place ribs and sauce in large plastic bag; press air out of bag and close top securely. | | 4 | Marinate 2 hours in refrigerator, turning bag over occasionally. | | 5 | Remove ribs from marinade and place on broiler pan; broil 2" from heat for 15 minutes, or until ribs are brown and crispy on all sides |
