Ingredients:
4 Onions
HONEY MUSTARD SAUCE
1/4 cupHoney, liquid
1 tspSoy sauce
1 tspMustard, Dijon
BROWN SUGAR GLAZE VARIATION
1/2 cupBrown sugar - packed
2 tbspButter
-2 Tbsp water
Procedures:
1Cut off tops and botooms of onions, remove skin.
2Place onions in saucepan and add enough water to come to depth of 1".
3Cover and bring to a boil.
4Reduce heat to medium and cook for 30 minutes.
5Drain and transfer onions to small greased casserole.
6Honey-mustard sauce: in small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce and mustard; cook over medium heat, stirring for 5 minutes.
7Pour over onions and bake, uncovered in 350f oven, basting occaisionally, for 30 to 40 minutes till heated through and glazed.
8Cut each onion in half to serve.
9Variation: brown sugar glaze.
10In small saucepan, combine ?cup brown sugar, 2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp water, cook as above and pour over onions before baking.
