Ingredients:
| 4
| lbs | Pickling cucumbers (3-4 in) | | 6
| cup | Water | | 4 1/2
| cup | Apple cider vinegar | | 6
| tbsp | Pickling salt | | 3/4
| tsp | Crushed red pepper (opt) | | 16
| each | Clove of garlic - split | | 16
| each | Head of fresh dill |

Procedures:
| 1 | Wash cucumbers and remove 1/16 inch from blossom end. | | 2 | In a 3 quart saucepan, combine water, vinegar, salt, and red pepper. | | 3 | Bring to a boil. | | 4 | Meanwhile, place 2 pieces of garlic and 1 head of dill in each hot pint jar. | | 5 | Firmly pack cucumbers upright in jars, leaving ?inch head space. | | 6 | Place 2 additional pieces of garlic and 1 head of dill on top of cucumbers. | | 7 | Immediately pour hot vinegar mixture over cucumbers, leaving ?inch head space. | | 8 | Carefully run a non-metallic utensil down inside of jars to remove trapped air bubbles. | | 9 | Wipe jar tops and threads clean. | | 10 | Place hot lids on jars and screw bands on firmly. | | 11 | Process in boiling water canner for 10 minutes. |
