Garlic dill pickles

Ingredients:
4 lbsPickling cucumbers (3-4 in)
6 cupWater
4 1/2 cupApple cider vinegar
6 tbspPickling salt
3/4 tspCrushed red pepper (opt)
16 eachClove of garlic - split
16 eachHead of fresh dill
Procedures:
1Wash cucumbers and remove 1/16 inch from blossom end.
2In a 3 quart saucepan, combine water, vinegar, salt, and red pepper.
3Bring to a boil.
4Meanwhile, place 2 pieces of garlic and 1 head of dill in each hot pint jar.
5Firmly pack cucumbers upright in jars, leaving ?inch head space.
6Place 2 additional pieces of garlic and 1 head of dill on top of cucumbers.
7Immediately pour hot vinegar mixture over cucumbers, leaving ?inch head space.
8Carefully run a non-metallic utensil down inside of jars to remove trapped air bubbles.
9Wipe jar tops and threads clean.
10Place hot lids on jars and screw bands on firmly.
11Process in boiling water canner for 10 minutes.
