Fried tomatoes (batter dipped tomatoes)

Ingredients:
4 medTomatoes, half ripe
1/2 cupAll-purpose Flour
2 1/2 tspSalt
2 1/2 tspSugar
1/4 tspPepper
3/4 cupPet Evaporated Milk
Oil for frying
Procedures:
1Wash tomatoes, but do not peel.
2Cut into ? slices.
3Place on paper towels to drain.
4Combine flour, salt, sugar and pepper.
5Dust tomatoes in flour mixture on both sides.
6Add evaporated milk to remaining flour mixture to make a thick batter.
7Dip floured tomatoes in batter.
8Fry in hot oil ? deep until golden brown on both sides.
9makes 6 servings.
