Ingredients:
16 ozBlack-eyed peas
6 cupWater
4 sliceBacon
1 tbspSalt
1 tbspSugar
1 tbspWhite wine vinegar
1/4 tbspBlack pepper
1/4 tbspGarlic salt
Procedures:
1Sort and wash peas; place in a large dutch oven.
2Cover with water 2 inches above peas; let soak 8 hours.
3Drain.
4Add 6 cups water and remaining ingredients.
5Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 ?hours.
6Yield: 6 cups.
