Ingredients:
CRUST
1 cupAM Brown Rice Flour
1/4 cupAM Hulled Sesame Seeds
2 tbspAM Unrefined Sesame Oil
2 tbspAM Sesame Tahini
1/4 cupWater
FILLING
3 tbspAM Unrefined Sesame Oil
1/2 Onion, minced
2 Garlic cloves, minced
2 cupChopped turnips or potatoes
2 cupChopped carrots
1 cupFinely chopped broccoli
- stems
1/4 cupAM Sesame Tahini
-OR- Peanut Butter
2 tspCider vinegar
1 tspSyrup or honey
1/4 tspSea salt (optional)
1 tbspTamari soy sauce
1/2 tspGinger
MIX
3 tbspArrowroot powder
1/2 cupCold water
Procedures:
1Crust: mix all ingredients together until evenly blended.
2Pat into deep 10" pie plate.
3Bake at 400°F. for 15 minutes.
4filling: preheat large skillet on medium heat.
5Add oil, onion and garlic; saute 1 minute.
6Add chopped vegetables; saute until almost tender, about 10 minutes.
7Add seasonings (last six ingredients).
8Stir.
9mix arrowroot or cornstarch in cold water.
10Stir into 1-?cups more cold water or orange juice.
11Pour over vegetables.
12Lower heat.
13Stir and simmer until slightly thickened.
14Pour all over crust.
15Sprinkle with ?cup chopped nuts.
16Bake at 375°F. for 45 minutes or until set.
17other vegetables may be substituted for those above, such as mushrooms, cauliflower, purple cabbage, celery, etc.
