Ingredients:
1 lbsHamburger
1 cupChopped onion
1 largeCrushed garlic clove
3 1/2 cupWhole peeled tomatoes
2/3 cupTomato paste
1/2 cupWater
1/2 cupSliced mushrooms and liquid
1 tspOregano
1/2 tspBasil
1 tspSalt
1/8 tspPepper
Procedures:
1Brown ground chuck or hamburger with onion and garlic in large saucepan.
2Drain off fat.
3Add remaining ingredients.
4Stir to break up tomatoes.
5Boil gently, uncovered 1 hour.
6Stir occasionally.
7Serve over hot cooked pasta
