Indoor barbequed beef brisket

Ingredients:
1 xSALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
1 eachBEEF BRISKET *
1 eachMEDIUM ONION, DICED
3 eachCLOVES OF GARLIC **
1 eachJALAPENO PEPPER ***
2 cupBARBEQUE SAUCE ****
1/4 cupWHITE VINEGAR
1/4 cupWORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
2 tbspBROWN SUGAR
1 tspSALT
2 tbspSMOKE FLAVORING
Procedures:
1* 4 - 5 lb. beef brisket, fat trimmed ** 3 cloves garlic, crushed or use 3/8 teaspoon garlic powder *** pepper should be minced with stem and seeds removed **** use mesquite, hickory or smoke flavored barbeque sauce *--------------------------------------------------------------------- ~* salt and pepper the brisket.
2In a large dutch oven, sear the meat on all sides, over high heat.
3Reduce heat and add enough water to cover the meat.
4Add onion, garlic and jalapeno.
5Bring to a boil.
6Lower heat and simmer, covered for 2 hours.
7Remove the meat and reserve the liquid.
8Preheat the oven 250 °F.
9Return brisket to pot.
10Combine barbeque sauce, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt and smoke flavoring.
11Pour mixture over meat.
12Cover and bake for 4 hours.
13While brisket is cooking place reserved liquid in a sauce pan and reduce by 2/3 over medium high heat.
14Set aside and keep warm.
15Remove brisket from pot and let stand for 15 minutes before slicing.
16Pour reduce liquid over the sliced brisket and serve
