Gingerbread cookies

Ingredients:
1/4 cupApplesauce
1/2 cupBrown sugar
1 1/2 cupDark molasses
1/2 cupCold water
3 cupWhite flour
3 cupWhole wheat flour
2 tbspAllspice
2 tbspGinger
2 tbspCloves
2 tbspCinnamon
2 tbspVanilla
2 tbspBaking soda
1/2 tbspSalt
1 tbspCold water
Procedures:
1Mix the applesauce, brown sugar and molasses together thoroughly.
2Stir in ?cup cold water and vanilla.
3Mix together dry ingredients.
4Add to the dough.
5Add 1 t cold water.
6Mix well.
7Cover bowl and chill dough (for at least one hour).
8Preheat oven to 350.
9Roll out dough thick (?inch).
10Cuts with small glass (1-2 inch diameter).
11Place on lightly oiled (sprayed) cookie sheet.
12Bake about 10 minutes (until no imprint remains when touched lightly with finger).
