Ingredients:

| large | Green cabbage leaves | | 1
| cup | Cooked long grain rice | | 1/2
| lbs | Ground beef | | 1/2
| lbs | Ground pork | | 1/2
| tsp | Salt | | 1/8
| tsp | Pepper, freshly ground | | 1/4
| tsp | Thyme | | 1
| cup | Onions, minced | | 1
| large | Egg, beaten | | | SAUCE | | 1
| cup | Tomato juice | | 1
| cup | Water | | 2
| | Beef bouillon cubes | | 1
| cup | Onions, chopped | | 2
| tbsp | Fresh parsley, chopped |

Procedures:
| 1 | Cook cabbage in 4 quarts boiling, salted water, 5 mins. | | 2 | Drain. | | 3 | Combine remaining cabbage roll ingredients. | | 4 | Divide into 8 equal portions. | | 5 | Wrap each portion in a cabbage leaf; tie w/string. | | 6 | Sauce - combine all ingredients in lg. | | 7 | Skillet. | | 8 | Add cabbage rolls; bring sauce to a simmer over med. heat. | | 9 | Cover and cook, turning occasionally, 1 hr. | | 10 | Discard string. | | 11 | Serve rolls w/sauce. |
